Rules

The standing Rules and Regulations of the AIIMT shall be binding on all student In order to develop a sense of responsibility and discipline amongst the students.

Admission

The original Certificates will be produced for verification at the time of admission. In the event of any information furnished by us is found to be incorrect or false, Academy had the authority to rejection / termination of the candidate admission. In case the applicant withdraw from the course or is rusticated or does not report on the day of commencement of course then not ask for any refund or transfer of fees.

Hostel Accomodation

Residence in the hostel is compulsory for all students enrolled in the all pre-sea programmes. Students are required to remain on campus at all times. Long hair, moustache and beard are not allowed during the period of training. Sikh candidates who wear turbans at the time of training hours are exempted from this. Cadets are permitted 'shore leave' in uniform only on Sunday between 07.00 and 20.00 hours. Cadets are not allowed to stay out of the campus at night under any circumstances. Parents are instructed not to make any request for the same. Visitors are permitted only on Sunday between 09.00 and 18.00 hours. Gold ornaments or other valuable items or any kind of electrical apparatus are not allowed to be kept. Cadets are not allowed to keep more than about Rs. 500/- in cash with them. Excess cash should be deposited with the cashier and can be withdrawn in lots of Rs. 500/-.

Class Attendance

Students must maintain regular attendance at classes and practical sessions, and eligibility to appear for semester exams depends on attendance not falling below 85% for theory classes and 100% for workshop practical's. No period of absence is condoned and every absence, even if due to illness, is deducted to determine the level of attendance.

Uniform

All students are required to wear a prescribed Merchant Navy standard uniform throughout the day. The institute issues rules, regulations and instructions regarding the wearing of uniforms which all students are required to follow..
